Day 1 : Arrival Kunming (D)
|
Arrive Kunming, visa formaliy and meet by our
tour guide at airport and be transferred to your Hotel. Kunming
as the capital city of Yunnan, has the best climate of all Chinese cities,
popularly known as the "Spring City”.
The long history, many minority nationalities and the unique natural
resources help make the city rich and colorful, filled with historical
and cultural relics as well as exquisite natural beauty. Visit around
city , Visit the East Tower or West
Tower where you will see the local life, you may see local shops,
seniors playing Chinese chess, also visit Birds and Flowers market where
you may see birds, flowers and arts and crafts. Dinner and overnight in Kunming

Day 2 : Kunming
- Dali (B, L, D)
Early tranfer to airport for morning flight to
Dali. Dali is a 600-year-old town featuring stone walls, grey-tilted roofs,
doors and windows carved with dragon and phoenix patterns. It also features
beautiful gardens, and the entire town is covered by a maze of streams fed
by runoffs from Cangshan
Mountains. Upon arrival , visit the Cangshan Mountain by cable car
and view the Erhai Lake from the mountain , visit Three Pagodas With
Qianxun Pagoda, the oldest standing structures in southwest China,
at the foot Cangshan Mountains., completed in 876 during the Tang dynasty
(618-907AD). Visit the Butterfly Spring, so named
because in the fourth lunar month each year, the trees put out
butterfly-shaped flowers, and swarms of butterflies of twenty or so breeds
descend on the tree, linking themselves head against tail into numerous
colored ribbon-like strings which keep dangling over the spring. The rest
of day will be free for your own discovering of the Old Stone Town of Dali

Day 3
: Dali - Lijiang (B, L, D)
Breakfast in hotel – Overland
drive from Dali to Lijiang with stop and visit of the Bai minority village Xinhua
and its handicrafts workshops. taste their special
cuisine and enjoy their traditional Three-course-Tea Singing and Dancing
Show . Upon arrival , visit Heilong Tan , the Black Dragon Pool
Park , the
park holds the Black Dragon Pool and got name because of it. The pool is
listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China because of its
beauty. The rest of day , walking to explore the old town of Lijiang , was built in the late song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty
and was listed by the UNESCO on the list of the world's major cultural
heritages in 1997. Lijiang which has a large
Naxi settlement first built about 8 centuries ago; you'll have a chance to
hear Naxi ancient music, feel their rich culture and tradition, see their
costume, house; Walk through Lijiang ancient town , enjoy ancient Naxi
Music concert performed by Xuanke and his musician. Lunch, Dinner and

Day 4 : Lijiang (B, L, D)

Breakfast in hotel – Continue your tour in Lijiang.
By cable-car to visit of the Dragon Spruce Meadows of the Jade Dragon Snow
Mountains , the mountain has 13 peaks of which the highest is
18000 feet above sea level. It is a treasure of wild plants and rare
animals , the Jade Peak Monastery, the Baisha village , the
Longquan (Dragon Spring) village , Visit Baisha ancient fresco
with the introduction of the Buddhism, people painted plenty of murals on
the walls of temples in the Ming Dynasty. Lunch,Dinner and overnight in

Day 5 : Lijiang -
Zhongdian (B, L,
D)
|
|
After breakfast, Overland
drive to Zhongdian , via the Yunnan/Tibet road. on the way , Stops and visits of the Shigu
(Stone Drum) village, the First Bend
of the Yangtze River, and the
Tiger Leaping Gorge , one of the deepest gorges in the world.
Continue your tour to Zhongdian, where the legend of Shangri-La was
originated. It is called Shangri-La because of it’s
picturesque grassland which is embellished with azalea. And it is a
principally Tibetan town which is at elevation 3,200m and very close to the

Day 6 : Zhongdian (B, L, D)
Breakfast in hotel – Visit Zhongdian,
sightseeing the enchanting Bita Lake Nature Reserve, which
is about 16 miles east of Zhongdian. You will hike a few kilometers through
meadows and flowers to reach the lakeside, and you will see a lot of
Tibetan villages with the Tibetan women working in the field
, Visit of the Ganden Songzanlin Monastery, the
Napa Nature Reserve, the
Tibetan Hospital, the
local market and some local Tibetan households. Lunch, Dinner and

Day 7 : Zhongdian – Kunming – Stone
Forest (B, L, D)
After breakfast
, transfer to airport for morning flight Zhongdian/Kunming . Upon
arrival, visit of the Stone
Forest, one of China’s most remarkable natural phenomena
located 98 kms southwest of Kunming.
It consists of 80 hectares of innumerable bizarre-shaped ancient limestone
cliffs and peaks created by wind and water erosion some 270 million years
ago. Visit to Wukeshu Village ,
the Stone Forest area is the home of the Sani
minority, a branch of the Yi tribe (reputed for their diligence, valour,
wisdom, exquisite embroidery and melodious songs and graceful dances) who

Day 8 : Kunming – Western
Hills – departure (B)
|
|
After breakfast , drive to the Western Hills , The Western Hills lie along the western shore of Dianchi
Lake, stretch from north to south for about 40km. The Hills resemble
a reclining maiden lying on the banks of Dianchi Lake
with her long hair flowing down into the lake. As a result, the Western
Hills have the nickname of the "A Sleeping Beauty Hills" - Following by a 10 minute chairlift ride up the hill , from the top a path winds down the famous “Dragon Gate”. Visit of
the flower and bird market if time permits it before transfer to the
airport for departure. Tour end.
